Creative / Composite
A composite is a single image built from several separate elements. Parts of different photographs are combined, light and shadow are built by hand, and the colour is reworked until the whole picture holds together. Advertising and fine art photography both rely on composites to reach a look that no single straight shot can deliver.
Frequently asked questions
Do you shoot jewellery videos?
Yes. Filming small objects is demanding, but the result is a striking visual that holds a customer’s attention.
What does it cost?
I price by project. The figure reflects the time needed for preparation, shooting, and post-production, together with the technical difficulty of the pieces and the equipment the job calls for.
How does the process work?
Every project runs in three stages. We begin with preparation, where we agree on the creative direction and decide what kind of shoot the pieces call for. Next comes the practical work, in my studio or at your premises, where the set is built and the images are captured. The last stage is post-production, where everything is edited and delivered to you through an online gallery, in whatever formats you need.
We have agreed to go ahead. How do I prepare?
Please clean each piece of grease and lint before the shoot. Marks that are invisible to the eye have a habit of appearing in post-production. If we work at your premises, all I need is one free 230 V socket and good company.
